    i don’t remember learning to read, was writing stories and poetry when i was in grade school. i still can’t understand what purpose diagramming sentences has in learning english

    when i was young, my family made friends with a family from india (my parents are still close with the family). at the age of 2 my sister came out with “chocolate baby” refering to the younger daughter of the family. my mother was mortified, but the other mother laughed

    i had an experience at work (i am in telecom customer service). client came in with his tween girls and they were watching me make change and count money. i said to the kids, “this is why math is important”. dad looked at me and grinned…right on for real world experience
