Nice hat, but I can’t tell what kind it is.

November 16, 2009. The story starts with a conversation between Edna (Eddie) and Juliette about how Edna met Juliette’s father.

Alecia’s profile in the second panel, beautiful work. If you crop the picture from the left edge of the door to the right edge of the second panel, you get an awesome à-la-Lichtenstein piece of art!! I love it!

And before you shoot me, in my balance this strip is alright. No doubt that with his proven skills the artist could do a fantastic/top-of-the-line job, instead of a comfort-food-style one. IMHO.

Funny you mention that, Susan, and also, thanks for doing it. Of all Nancy’s characters, Fritzi is the only one that looks like having been drawn by an amateur, with noticeable wrong human body proportions and a nuance of lust. For really attractive right-proportioned female characters there are plenty of other comics like 9CL, Legend of Bill and Last Kiss. Above mentioned nuance is absent in those.

This is classic Bushmiller. And I totally agree with you in “Forget the sentimental crap, obituaries and obscure country music references.” I can’t stand any of those three. Btw, somebody pointed out this is an old strip. Then it means that GG really understood Ernie, and. alas, at some point decided he preferred to make the strip his with those dreadful three traits you mention.

No, it’s not. Moondog’s hidden answer to Monty is “no”.
