   On balance, they no longer contribute to positive progress. The overwhelming majority will tell immigration inspectors up front they are coming here for welfare. Qualified immigrants are a small minority. National distributive quotas have been abandoned, since the amnesty of 1986 (IRCA) taught them that if they are patient, they will be rewarded with amnesty. There have been two more amnesties since 1986. :245(i) and Extension of 245(i). The globalists are clamoring for another general amnesty to legalize some twenty million aliens now here illegally. Culture is acquired historically over time; new immigrants bring their own and add nothing to ours because ours is part of our past. Diversity is a cognate of divide.

   As long as you can keep them griping, it proves you have a large readership, Henry. I think most of your detractors are Democrats. Too bad Democrats have no sense of humor and since Jay Leno left, there are no late-night talk show hosts with a sense of humor—-too much preoccupation with political correctness. It’s all part of the problem with the globalists (Democrats) controlling the media. Thanks for holding out against the raging tide of socialism.

   Yes. I like Dennis Miller. Jay Leno was one of my all time favorites, but he got pushed aside by NBC because his humor was often not politically correct. .

   Interesting that almost all comments here are by liberals that seem offended by Holbert’s cartoons. Any good humorists must have a grip on the present social and political condition. That is why there are no true humorists who are also liberals. Liberal cartoonists are boring failures because they cannot show a connection between their humor and reality. They are like millennial Internet trolls that try to impress readers with only ad hominem content.

   The country is near bottom of depravity since prosecutorial discretion landed in the hands of a corrupt Justice Department, led by Obama’s puppet, Loretta Lynch. By the time Obama leaves office, not just illegal aliens, but most of the now imprisoned felons and terrorists will be walking the streets, free again.
