   Whoa, I didn’t even know Friendlys still existed! There was one near my hometown we used to go to all the time. But it shut down in the 90s already, I thought the whole chain had disappeared. :(

   This is a comic strip. If there wasn’t some drama going on there would literally be no reason for this strip to even exist, let alone to read it. Always so much judgement going on in these comments, it’s like all these commenters lead such perfect, tidy, utterly uneventful lives. I guess passing judgement on cartoon teenagers gives them something to do in life. :P

   A whole month after the party…“hey remember Tara? She was our friend, what ever happened to her? She hasn’t been in class and I can’t be bothered to text her or anything…” *kids indeed

   Seriously. If we wanted hot romances that actually work, we’d all be reading Chickweed Lane! We come here b/c we want RELATABLE characters who always screw things up for themselves and grow old and alone.

   The Christmas tree is an evergreen, which symbolizes the continuance of life even in the season of death (winter, when all the other trees have shed their leaves and gone dormant). I.e. it represents eternal life, like that promised by god to the faithful who believe in his Son, Jesus the Christ (so the legend goes ;) ). Christians trim the tree to decorate it as befits the living symbol of the heavenly King.

   Of course, the tree is a pagan thing but the Church made the decision to celebrate Christmas around the same time as the pagan winter solstice festivals b/c the underlying symbolism and meaning of both is really quite similar in essence. And, the Church wanted to woo souls to their bosom and knew they couldn’t just banish all their holidays and not replace them with anything.

   I suspect at this point that all this time it’s really been TOM FARREL who is the evil mastermind pulling all the puppet strings. You just KNOW that this strip’s panel 4, after he says “friends at last” he turns around so we see his wicked grin and Mephistophelean mustache, throws his head back and lets out a thundering MWAHAHAHAHAHA. Cue lightning in the distance.

    No, Gunther did the right thing here, a bit awkwardly but nonetheless, the right thing. Idk what y’all’s problem is. Tiffany was really lame in double-dealing like this, completely clueless; Les IS in strict fact being a lech and a bit predatory. Gunther is being an actual FRIEND to Tiffany, and I’m appalled at how many of you don’t understand that.
