I love this new Mysta, as it seems you all do from the comments. I too really do not want Moon Maid to die. I’d like to see her as a semi-reoccurring character in the strip. Like VistaBill said, Hopefully it’s Hy Pressure (or one of the other villains)…

Bardoll dead as a doorknob. The doorknob! I’m SO glad he didn’t survive the fall! And watch out Sam, this dame looks like trouble!!

Mike Curtis has said in an interview that, “Our take on Dick Tracy is that everything that has ever happened to Dick Tracy happened in the last few years. He’s not a hundred years old.” Another commenter here posted a fantastic article link with insight into this ‘new’ Dick Tracy last week. For those that haven’t read it, http://popcultureaddict.com/comic-books/moonmaid/

If we are going to talk about a Dick Tracy movie, I’ll through in my 2 cents. SQUARE NOSE and SQUARE JAW this time around please! It’s 2013… I want Tracy to sport his very distinct facial features this go round. Also it would be perfect for a silhouetted profile scene!

I completely agree with Neil Wick. Personally, I like this style longer stories with the use of foreshadowing or setting up future events with sub-plots that may seem unrelated at the time. This type of story telling gives this strip a more epic feel and makes it a much bigger universe. I love this story telling approach and hope that Mike continues with it.
