   Wow, I’m behind the times! I really don’t think they’re going to abandon their months of relationship for ONE prom night. It’s funny though, cause for some reason I always thought Luann would end up with T.J. when she was a few years older than now. I don’t know why, cause I feel like they have no sparks of a relationship, I guess I just felt T.J. joining the DeGroot family would become official somehow.

   That does lead me to a question though, Greg does get to pick the colours, doesn’t he?

   I love how Quill matches Rosa better than Gunther, and Gunther matches Luann better! I don’t think it was on purpose but still pretty funny :D

   I totally think that Mrs. Phelps is trying to get her to go to prom by scaring her. Mrs. Phelps probably didn’t go to hers for other reasons, but regretted it, and is now making herself seem more like Bernice. Despite popular belief, I don’t think Mrs. Phelps is as dumb as she seems.

   I also think not going to prom because you weren’t asked is stupid. You don’t go to prom because you’re asked, you go to prom because it’s a celebration of your graduation! I watched WAY to many girls go to prom with guys they barely even knew or liked, just so they had SOMEONE to go with, and than they had a lousy time that they could have just spent with their friends instead :/

   I’m not saying it’s dirty or perverted, I never once said that, I only said that I don’t need to see it in the strip to enjoy it. But honestly if all you’re crying about on this strip for is sex, you’re wasting your breath. You won’t get it from a family strip, and you don’t need it to enjoy it. Although I do think it would be an interesting development if Brad was to find out Toni is pregnant and he’s the father, and I wonder if that’s what might be happening in the next few strips. I just feel the the maturity level of some people is just a “that’s what she said” joke. I’m honestly not trying to judge anyone, but I do apologize if my words came across as insulting. I will admit I probably spoke from annoyance and frustration stemming from more than this strip. So let me rephrase: I’m not opposed to sex in the strip, or sex in general, but I’d prefer it off strip and for it to come in with a little more purpose than to satisfy a bunch of horny people craving to see Brad and Luann get some. I would actually love to hear what Luann thinks about when sex is right, or see how Brad would react to a pregnant Toni, but I’m not going to sit here and lament about the last time anyone got “laid” was or worry about weather or not Brad is “getting any” like it’s somehow relevant to who he is or what he’s doing in his life.

   No offence to anyone, I’d love to see Luann grow up and tackle some more interesting plot lines, but does EVERYTHING have to be about sex with some of you people? This is a family comic strip, the “sexy time” in this strip is implied for a joke, we’re going to find out that Toni has full time Shannon duty or that she’s being transferred or something like that. I mean as nice as it would be to see Luann get into a relationship it doesn’t mean everything has to revolve around sex! Luann having a boyfriend does not equal sex! If you want a bunch of teens sleeping around turn on the TV and flip a few channels, you’ll find something I promise. I don’t know why some of you are so concerned with a fictitious character’s sex life, go worry about your own. And honestly, some teens go through high school without sex. Some people even stay abstinent until marriage, and that doesn’t mean that either the “man” or the “woman” is suffering for waiting. In a culture so inundated with porn in advertising and selling sex everywhere they can, it would be nice to see a family comic strip stay a family comic strip. I see no reason that Toni and Brad have to be sleeping together for a healthy relationship, and frankly if they are I don’t want or need to see it and know about it to enjoy the strip.

   I’m sure this has been said before, but I almost don’t want her to get into a relationship with Quill. I’d like to see her get into one, or if with Quill I’d like to see it kind of blow up in her face. Not to be mean or anything, but Quill has proven to be a great guy so far, but Luann hasn’t really expressed a reason for liking him other than that he is hot, has an accent, and pays attention to her. I mean, she wants to be in a relationship, but I could really see things going south if she started dating Quill, because she couldn’t get away with just mushy-gushy “He’s so hot” all the time. She’d have to start putting someone else first instead of just relishing in his attention to her.

   On another note though, kind of bummed. I was hoping to see more of OX, he’s an interesting character that could use some development. And what happened to the bathroom stalls in the third panel??? (Just kidding! It’s not like I can draw backgrounds… or comics)

   Both sides have a valid point!!! How a women dresses is NEVER an excuse for a rapist. Period. But, out of self respect, Tiff could be dressing better. Wearing a burka or a bikini won’t make a difference to a rapist, but, some people, like Les, are just plain pigs. And they WILL harass girls who are dressing like they want attention of the visual kind, because Tiffany does. It does NOT justify his actions, but I think this more falls under the category of be careful what you wish for. Again, it’s also about respect. I’m a girl, and I like to dress up nice, but I don’t have to dress provocatively. Do I have the right to do so? Yes, but I can’t expect the whole world to treat me like I’m not an object if I choose to dress like one and treat myself as one. For all the ladies that this hit a sore spot for, think of all those guys who like to wear their pants down to their ankles and show off their boxers. I’m sure your first thought isn’t “What a distinguished young man. He must be a very creative and original thinker, a unique and special individual that is really going places in life. He must have a PHD.” That could all be well and true of the guy, but odds are, you just want them to wear a belt.
