Joe, no matter how weird it gets, stick with it. The rewards will be tenfold in good feelings and humor!!! Great story line. I’m really enjoying it.

I know this is just a cartoon, but are you familiar with the story of Puppy Doe in Mass? Please google and read about this poor, terribly abused dog that was given away on Craig’s List. She was so badly tortured she had to be euthanized. How she was tortured is unbearable to read. After reading about her you will understand why I felt I had to comment about listing any dog on Craig’s List and then palming it off to the first caller. Please, please people never, ever do that to an animal. Take it to a reputable shelter and give it a chance. Many shelters or rescue groups will take dogs that have issues with aggression and biting. I’ll climb off my soapbox now, thank you.

“…and to all the dogs who take care of them when they come home..”
Well said, and I second the sentiment – love it!

This is so sweet. I’m sure it will bring comfort just knowing others care and have also been through such loss.

So sorry for your loss. Lost my schipperke and best buddy last August. Recently rescued two dogs and that has helped with the grief tremendously. Nothing will ever replace your beloved Samba but rescuing makes your heart lighter, and all dogs are deserving of a good home. Once again, so sorry for your loss. Thank you for thinking of rescuing and I wish you and your future rescue a happy life.

Please lay off all the negative comments about pit bulls. You’re like a broken record. Move on, let it go.

So sorry about your Dixie. We had to put our Schipperke, Elsea, to sleep in late Aug. ’13. It took months, but it did get a little better. We rescued 2 schipperkes in Dec and Jan (one is a senior). I still miss Elsea, but these two rescues have helped more than I thought possible.

In August we lost our beloved 12 year old Schipperke and we were devastated. In December we rescued a 4 year old Schipperke and he is doing well. Just this weekend we were moved to do an urgent rescue of a 12 year old Schipperke. Had some trepidation about a 12 year old, but it’s nice to read your comment and know we probably will have at least a few years to share with and spoil her. She is a delight and is settling in nicely. Good luck much love with your Penny.
