Hahaaha…thanks StelBel! There are fans and there are Super-Fans. That was above and beyond. Well done. I particularly like the little paint bucket (Claremont-size, if you will) left in the grass.

Doctor Robert was, in fact, in a strip that I did many years before Berle, and a sort of predecessor. Good catch.

Sadly, this is the last we see of the little bird. I don’t know why this strip still cracks me up. Sometimes it’s good to be silly for silly’s sake.

I’m in the midst of a massive move. In an ice storm. Today I was carrying a box and old comic strips blew out of it and went everywhere, under a car and in a yard. A nice lady walking two dogs helped me get them all. So, yeah, organization is kind of a long-term goal.

I’m not exactly presenting these strips in order. Someday I’ll have every comic I’ve made nicely organized. That, of course, requires that I get myself nicely organized.

    1. She was stacking lists of comic strip scenarios in the back. 2. Serial killers. 3. She’s paying homage to Terri Garr in Tootsie (who was actually holding a plunger.) But let’s not allow this to distract from the fact that For Whom The Bell Tolls is an effective weapon in the right hands. Or Claremont.

I’m just going to savor the phrase “recession-quality job.” The only person I’ve consistently been able to work for is me, and even I’m worried that I might fire myself.
