    Yes, it was. No cameras, no “zero tolerance”, no lawyers, no lockdowns, no sudden inspections, no dumbed down textbooks.

    @Clark Kent

    No “political correction”, no “we’re all for free speech unless you try to come on campus and say anything that goes against our liberal bias”.

    You mean like voicing your hatred of Liberal things, about sexuality, about racism, and sexism perhaps?
    Schools have been turned into prisons. To prepare the youth for when the rest of the country becomes a Corporate Theocratic prison. They will be use to it and won’t be against it much.

    By good old days, you mean being a racist and sexist was okay? Not liking your attitude.

    No, we (or at least I) mean about voicing your opinion regardless of whether you were Liberal OR Conservative, radical or M-O-R, laid-back or in-your-face about things. I was a Vietnam Vet when I went to college after the war, and nobody gave ME a hard time, even though my hair was SHORT, in the early-to-mid Seventies.
    Try that now, and SOMEBODY will stomp you into an early grave…

    Back in those days you looked forward to classes like chemistry because they were dangerous!

    A lot more bullying going on today when the school spends so much time trying to convince the bullys that they are entitled get everything for nothing and to make their self-respect all-important. No values are taught or respected. When a man has no other values, his name becomes important beyond all bounds. (“You lookin’ at ME?”) Humility and guilt. Now that’s the ticket!
