    Must have used something other than sugar or one of the sugar substitutes that you can heat up.

    Alternatively, she could have used margarine instead of unsalted butter.

    Margarines don’t always react properly when used in cooking, and so depending upon the type and brand used you can get some pretty unexpected results.

    You can also create something delicious that looks inedible. When I was 10, I accidentally put green food coloring in my brownies instead of vanilla. No one wanted to eat them, but they tasted great.
