At our local chip shop there’s a sign saying that unaccompanied children will be fried. I’m a bit worried about what’s in their meat pies.

When my daughters were younger, we had lunch at a buffet place. It was pretty quiet when we got there. The hostess knew us. Soon after, a couple came in and was brought to a table near ours. Looking down their noses, they informed the hostess that they did NOT wish to be seated near that table with SMALL CHILDREN!!! Respecting their wishes, the hostess moved them, even tho the hostess told them that those particular small children were pretty well-behaved. Soon after, the place started picking up, and a family with three loud, rambunctious boys were brought in…and seated right next to the couple! We saw the couple look over at us, with our two little girls sitting quietly and eating nicely.

we behaved in Food Places.. or we got KILLED when we go home. Mom said so. and she would.

I have a list of restaurants that I will not go to, because of misbehaved kids.

It seems to happen quite often that after my husband and I are seated and have ordered and maybe even gotten our food that someone with bratty kids is seated near us and the kids can’t behave or start whining and bawling which ruins our meal. If it happens before we’ve ordered we can move our seat (and have) but once everything is on the table that’s rather hard. Now that restaurants have gone non smoking the next thing they need to do is have kids sections vs no kids sections. Older people ought to be able to dine in peace!

This woman is horrible. I really hope she’s just acting this way as an object lesson.

Parents are responsible for the public behavior of their children. Sadly, there seems to be fewer and fewer responsible adults these days.

If restaurants had any guts they would kick people out that don’t mind their kids.

My kids were taught to behave themselves in restaurants (my husband too). Yes, a certain amount of “kid noise” should be tolerated, but misbehaving, crawling around other people’s tables, annoying other diners are all things a parent has to (not should, but MUST) break their children of doing the first time they try it. Allowing children to be rude is training them to be rude adults.
