   When dialing international press the # button after the last digit to make the call go thru 15 to 20 seconds faster. Phone numbers in other countries have different lengths, sometimes within the same country. Pressing # lets the register you enter the digits into in the central office switching system know that you have finished dialing otherwise it will wait a while to see if you have more digits to enter. If you have a rotary dial you are SOL, you’ll just have to wait.
