Is this where Poncho yells out, ‘Yo, mutts! Your mamas were Heinz 57’s!’ and ducks out, leaving the cat as the only thing in sight.
(What kind of put down would dogs use anyway?)

    re: Bruno Z

good question. How about “your best friend is a cat.” or
“You should enter a dog show; your genes have half the AKC registry of breeds” or “you’re a picky eater” or “the cats are laughing at you”?

Beats me. I’m still trying to figure out what’s with the ear(?) of the one holding the shovel (also there yesterday).

They’re just a pair of mean, ugly (how ugly ? …) Heinz 57s (as noted by BZ …).

Wait until it’s dark, then the light (besides the noise from the vacuum) shall really get the cat going..

Heinz 57…must remember that. My dog had his DNA analyzed…he’s part Chihuahua/miniature pincher and ’lots of unidentifiable breeds…however, he has long hair and is the size of a border collie..looks like an Australian Shepherd/Golden mix and has the sweetest, gentlest personality…he LOVES our 3 cats!

So Heinz 57 means a combination of 57 (or some other large number of) different breeds? Never heard that before.

If I may interject here….yes, Heinz 57 is a “polite” description of a dog of indeterminate heritage. I once had a super sweet, beautiful, long-haired, nearly all-white dog, about collie-size, brought in as a stray to the vet where I worked. He looked like he ought to be something definite but I could never figure out what. So finally, when people asked what he was, I told them he was an Alsatian Mountain dog. There’s no such thing that I know of, so I designated him an AMD. They were perfectly happy and Miles had a pedigree.

Heinz 57 comes from the Heinz Co., which either had 57 varieties of condiments, or had one called Heinz 57.

    You’re right about the “one called Heinz 57” – it’s a steak sauce. :-)

Maybe Poncho can call them “mangy sons of….”

(Making the censors squirm again, hee-hee-hee!)
