    Vet,

I love the waffle house. Too bad there are not any near my area. Visited several in NC a few years ago while handling my late brothers estate. Long story.

There should be a video feature of “The People of Waffle House”, in the same style of “The People of Wal-Mart”. Very Interesting.

Love my waffle iron and Michigan syrup here at home. Not the same but not bad.

Thank you for your LEO service. I read your great comments all the time.

    Good to hear from you.
You are right about Waffle House……rather strange place sometimes but those waffles are oh so good.
And thanks to your service also 71 to 72. I was 72 to 75. Slight tour to the Nam in 72 then rest of service in Alaska US Army Arctic Test Center Fort Greeley. The Few, the Cold, the FROZEN. So when folks in Texas complain its cold, I smile and agree…..like my northern cousins I know what true cold is.
Be warm, be safe, don’t do anything I would not do (snicker).

    And to you Flyboy…..love ya.
If there was one thing I loved was watching the Flyboys come in a drop some heavy metal on Charlie. Saved my butt more than once. Even rescued a few shot down. We would get to them before Charlie and covered till they were picked up. Then melt back into the woods.

    Hey Vet,

If you somewhere near DC anytime, lets get a waffle or a brewski or two. My place has a waffle iron. And a beer or two or Wild Turkey 101 if you like for a chaser.

Just for fun, I was drafted at age 26 in 1970 after being deferred for college and marriage.

My lovely and unfaithful ex turned me in and I took basic at Fort Campbell in the summer of 70.

Took jungle training in the winter of that year at Ft. Lewis, WA. Snow on the ground and it was hard to think about RVN in that weather. At least it wasn’t Alaska. The training SGT said don’t worry about it kid, it will be hot where you are going. I wasn’t a kid then but I understood what he meant.

Later, diverted to Germany and drank a lot of .25 great German beer.

I coulda done without the whole trip. Cost me a lot. Wife, house, car, some health, and even my little dog. Story for another day. Cost others a lot more.
