    My grandmother put it even better many years ago (about 15 of us would descend on her 1200 square foot home for Christmas) when she told my mother, “I am so happy when you all come and even happier when you all go back home.”

    I love my grands very much too. But this rule usually applies – The first hour with them is great and then I start to age very rapidly.
