When it comes to whoppers, the devil is ‘always’ in those pesky details… like frozen lakes.
At least he got the truth of it

I even once stood on the Mississippi River. No, not the shore, but some of it was actually frozen over. Christmas season 2005 in Nauvoo, Illinois (visiting relatives in Iowa who kind of live near said river).

And I walk on water (under those conditions).

Like hitting a grand slam, with the wind blowing out.
The conditions have to be right.

Had a friend hit his tee shot on a par three. The lake was partially frozen. His shot bounced off the ice onto the green and into the hole. I don’t remember how many times it skipped but wasn’t anywhere near 23.

@cereal killer
Your right… I’d like to skip Nelson across the ice twenty three too.

Nelson is thinking “aw, skip it”
Number Three said, 11 months ago
It looks impressive when people do that.
I’m sure you would pick it up easily, Nelson. You’re a fast learner after all.

In 1983, I went to Mississippi with friends for Christmas and stood on the Frozen Gulf of Mexico
