My wife is going to have a hey day with this one.
Superfrog said, 12 months ago
It’s almost like that. The only difference is that Earl won’t try to think of something for you to do.

Opal’s dreaming.
Ever notice that the “studies” on helping around the house never include maintenance and yardwork…

Fpr now at least Opal-you know that at some point the dishes will need to be washed again, laundry will need to be done. Relax while you can!

That’s because yardwork is around the outside of the house. And in the town where I grew up, yardwork was considered “women’s work.” Don’t ask me why, but “real men” didn’t cut grass. And after the advent of the snowblower, they didn’t clear walks, either.

It si good that men take the advice from the Lord, Martha, Martha, you are so worried and concerned about many things, when only one thing is necessary, Mary has chosen that good thing which will not be taken from her. Luke 10:42 Look both ways before you cross the street. If you don’t look both ways someone will most likely get hurt. It is regrettable for anybody to get hurt. It is just soooooooo unfortunate that only those who do not look both ways before crossing the street are not the only one getting hurt. Do the reasonable thing!!! Prov 24:11-12, Is 1:18. It was stated by a founding father that the only way to maintain a constitutional republic is with an educated citizenry. To paraphrase Ben Franklin, “As soon as the electorate realizes they can vote themselves the public treasury it will signal the end of the republic.”

I’m thinkin’ the same thing. I NEVER run out of something to do around the house.
Alan Jones said, 12 months ago
Sure, there’s always something that needs to be done around the house. It’s just that Earl, like most men realizes that it doesn’t have to be done “right now”.

I guess Opal thinks that house they live in and all their stuff just generated itself out of thin air. Never understood my mom griping about my dad actually enjoying doing nothing in retirement after 50 years of busting his @$$.

Have you ever been in a church full of “Marys” and no “Marthas”? By their works you shall know them.
