Is Rat going to do tweets by other dictators too, or is he Stalin?

It is interesting over on that social networking site to run into present-day Italian neo-fascists, to whom Mussolini is still a hero. But Rat’s version is a much more hip totalitarian statist. Having an interest both in history and in fantasy, I’d pay a buck for his book!

Even weirder is how the communists dislike mussolini despite a shared history. The “Face of Socialism” party (Il Fascisti for short) grew out of the communist party like other national socialist groups did after WWI. Socialism is socialism, whether it has this or that name. The major difference between communism and national socialism was the level of economic control. Communism controlled from top to bottom. National socialism controlled key industries and banks, such as Krupp, IG Farben, BMW, Messerschmidt, etc. in Germany, having “nationalized” them.
    .
The World Workers Party, an international Communist party (wikipedia blew it on that one, claiming their German branch, the GWP, was national socialist despite the NSDAP not existing yet. I tend to trust sources prior to 1990 because revisionist history didn’t get going in earnest until the late 1990s), spawned various groups in nations like Germany. The German Workers Party came from the WWP and was communist until 1919 when it became the nationals socialist party of germany.
    .
And yet, despite the common history between the communists and national socialists, they have have traditionally hated each other, like two rotten peas in the same decaying pod.
    .
Not uncommon, I suppose. The bolsheviks hated the mensheviks despite both being similar and ultimately went to war. Menscheviks wanted communism with free elections and the bolsheviks wanted a dictator.

Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics,
And the Catholics hate the Protestants,
And the Hindus hate the Muslims,
    And everybody hates the Jews.

But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
    It’s National Everyone-smile-at-one-another-hood Week.
    Be nice to people who
    Are inferior to you.
It’s only for a week, so have no fear.
Be grateful that it doesn’t last all year!

I’ve heard tell that he didn’t get the trains to run on time; he just edited the train schedules after the fact to make it look like he did.

Oddly, @Il_Duce is a real Twitter handle. Only one tweet, though, and this isn’t it.
