    I remember that story of that grandma…when the time comes, she will be alone with her crabby ways…poor Linus..A good grandma is always supportive…

    He’ll get it out of his system now and not have to worry about any other kind of dependency when he’s older

    @Jo Clear (aka: Grasshopper)

    The first time my daughters were to spend an overnight with my parents, I explained to my mom that my younger daughter liked to have her HUGE stuffed dog, Yellow, with her when she sleeps. Yellow is almost as big as she is. I was afraid that my mother would tell me that she should leave Yellow at home. My mom’s reaction: “Of course Yellow can come!”

    I had a security blanket as a child. My Nana who was a brilliant seamstress made me a teddy bear with a large pocket at the front to put my blanket in. She was a wonderful and thoughtful lady so full of love, kindness and fun. I miss her so much.

    Linus is an example of contrasts. He has a fine grasp of many things in the adult level yet he still sucks his thumb and has a security blanket of much younger children. Such thumb sucking can distort the mouth and teeth.
