    Bleahing is going easy on her.

    It’s both breathtaking and heartbreaking to realize how old this particular strip is, and that it nevertheless remains relevant to this very day.

    I agree with Snoopy, there’s not always a “why”, but a “for what”.

    Biting would have been more appropriate.

    Ugh! Revolting to see a comic character spewing that horrible old Deuteronomic superstition. I’m with stcrowe—biting would have been an appropriate response.

    @Monster Hesh

    That’s what made it so great.

    I’m a Christian, and I don’t buy what Lucy said.

    And much more effective, I think.

    Why is revolting? You’re not SUPPOSED to buy what Lucy said— she’s the crabby one, her brother is the theologian. It’s supposed to be funny and a relief when Snoopy puts her in her place.

    Why’d Lucy turn yellow in the third panel? Also, the color seems out of whack in that panel.

    Stephen in Acts was a servant of God and yet got martyred anyway. Being righteous is no guarantee of an easy ride, Lucy. No wonder she turns yellow in panel 3…all that bile backed up on her when Snoopy Bleahed her blablabla!

    Nope, her kind deserves to be chomped!

    From what I’ve observed, those Christians who are most committed to the Lord have the most problems “come up”. It’s like lower powers make a special effort to mess things up.
    Christ promised tribulation. Beats me where some Christian groups got the idea that if things go wrong, it’s because of some sin. The Bible is filled with examples of the opposite. The book of Job has a non-Israeli believer in God whose life is wrecked by Satan when Satan claims that Job will curse God if Job loses everything. Instead, the opposite is true. In effect, Satan loses face as he was proven dead wrong.
