    What good is a commissioner if he can’t send you a new pitcher’s mound?

    Maybe it’s for the best. No pitcher’s mound means no repeated humiliation for Charlie Brown.

    William Eckert was Commissioner of Baseball from 1965 to 1968.
    The current Commissioner, since 1992 is Bud Selig.

    Just take it as a blessing Charlie Brown. No pitcher’s mound means you can’t pitch which means your team can’t lose.

    @Aaron Saltzer

    There’s an entire arc about the new mound being washed out to sea.
