    Sadly, there was no such thing as airsickness medicine in WW1.

    Could a Sopwith Camel even reach that altitude?

    Some pilots could do it, but the air was getting very thin at that elevation.

    The ceiling for the Camel was something like 19,000 with an airspeed of around 127 mph at level flight.

    Service ceiling of a Sopwith Camel was about 18,000 ft., but, as someone suggested, most pilots would not be able to breath at that altitude.

    How many feet before you need an oxygen mask if needed?

    @dheine1971

    12,500 feet for flights lshorter than 30 minutes. Flights above 14,000 feet require the continuous use of supplemental oxygen.

    Rules say you need to go on O₂ when flying above 12500 ft.

    Nothing to do with today’s strip but there’s a kite-eating-tree down the street from me. Every time I see that kite stuck in that tree, I think of Charlie Brown.

    I hope Charlie Brown or Linus doesn’t walk underneath Snoopy…

    Because if Snoopy does throw up then….Ewwww.

    LOL xxx
