If ever there is an iconic comic strip, it is Peanuts. What began in the funny pages in 1950 has developed into an enduring classic. Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

Sounds good to me – as Peppermint Patty remarked once, he’s the only athlete on your side!

I like Snoopy’s version of “so there” or “you were saying” tactics.

Every time I see Schroeder’s baseball suit, I think of the time Lucy put it on and started to tweet like a bird.
Oh, the good times Peanuts has given us.

Incidentally, how could Snoopy go “Ahem” with a supper dish in his mouth?
Kenneth Byrd said, 10 months ago
This strip could have its own tv special called “I’m a better player than you, Charlie Brown.”

“Ahem” indicates that you are clearing your throat.
It’s not at all difficult to clear your throat with your mouth open. Or holding a supper dish in your mouth.

Star players often require “special” treatment.

I’m just glad we didn’t have to deal with drug testing for players back during this time. Think how awkward it would be for Snoopy to have to submit to a drug test.

Good for you Snoopy. Next time bring some dog biscuts for Snoopy, Charlie Brown.

Look at it this way, Charlie Brown: If you had fed him, he likely would have been too busy eating when the ball came his way! You made the right call… :-)

Good deeds should be rewarded. Pass the Milk Bones.

Me and Number Six are not related. But he’s like a surrogate brother to me. Mostly we’re very good friends.

CB should keep a packet of dog biscuits in his pocket, then he wouldn’t have to open up a can of dog food. : )
