That won’t matter to Lucy, though.

Quite true. It’s the unsound theology/worldviews that will get you.

    It does indeed, Linus.
As long as “sound” is not followed by “and fury.”

And out of the mouths of babes we have answer to the ageless question, why we must have religion. The fact that people have killed in the name of them, and have died defending them, shouldn’t cause us to pause and ask if they’re really necessary. Or are we so insecure that we need the comfort of believing we’re not alone, and that a Supreme Being is always in control. We can even blame Him for all the disasters, because it was His wrath on our sinfulness. Preachers love to make much ado about that.

Let the one who sins not cast the first stone.

Ah, the days before political correctness outlawed the Bible.

I don’t believe anyone has “outlawed” the bible. What Christians can’t seem to understand is that the government has no control, nor do they want it, over what you in your Christian (or any other religion) does in their church. They can do whatever they want — marry or not marry gays, etc. (As long as it doesn’t involve abuse and I think we can all agree on that.) Since we in America have so many different religions, I think it is pompous and arrogant for Christians to think they have a right to push their beliefs on anyone who does not believe as they do, whether they are non-believers or other believers. So keep it in your church and we will all be happy.

Far more people have killed in the name of nations (more deaths in WW II than all other wars put together). Maybe we should outlaw nations.

All my fellow atheists must be sound asleep or taking the day off. Personally I see no point dissuading the converted as neither side does any real harm.

Although both parties often get their facts wrong.

Actually, the believers were tasked with spreading the Word. Unfortunately for some, that means having people approach you in parking lots or coming to your door. You can’t get mad, though—they are just doing what they are told. Anyway, I’m not going to get into a religious discussion on GoComics—just wanted to point that out. Have a good day, everyone!

Let’s stone the first one who sins? That sounds more like modern theology!
