    I’m glad I’m not CB. I need at least 5 hours sleep to be semi-functional.

    I never had much sympathy for the party degrees. Lack of sleep was always self-inflicted. Party, show up half the time and then the mad scramble at the end of the term.

    The science and engineering degrees, on the other hand, were pretty brutal stuff. A person just had to do the work all term or you failed. Miss a class in something like structures and you had a serious problem, because the next class built on what you had learned the class period before. You didn’t miss class in things like reinforced concrete design or analysis of structures or thermodynamics even if you were sick. You had to learn that material or you were sunk.

    So I guess you’re saying that the rules for learning the subject matter were as concrete as the subject itself… one brick missing and the whole structure collapses so to speak? Almost poetic really… ;o)

    CB won’t have to read it—but the teacher will, and CB will find out the HARD way about teacher astuteness.

    Remember all the “spoilers” with which I replied to you?

    I remember in 3rd grade I had a book “report” project to do. I put it off ‘til the Sunday evening before it was due. I asked my parents to help me. My folks asked me when it was due, and I said, “Tomorrow”. They asked me when I received the project, I told them (a few weeks previous). My father said, "You got yourself into this; you’ll get yourself out of it." I was like CB the next day, and I have not procrastinated since.

    I’ll bet his report contains more waffle than he had for his breakfast!

    @prasrinivara

    Yeah, I knew that wa going to happen. The New Year special was no different with CB having to read War & Peace over Christmas vacation. You’d think he’d learn the error of his ways. Me – I usually got my 7 hours sleep unless I had insomnia.
