    Why sue? That’s the American way.

    Hmm, either they were sue-happy back then too, or CB has started a revolution of suers (sewers) in this country.

    what’s ironic is that they made a computerized font of Schulz’s lettering style which they used when his hand got too shaky to letter, like in all those greeting cards. Man was ahead of his time.

    @Bob

    It’s the nation of lawsuits.

    Litigation is the national pastime, not only in the US but in the UK.
    That said, I feel CB’s pain. Oh, Palmer Method, how inadequate you made me feel. There actually were girls in the class who could imitate it perfectly…I always told myself that perfect penmanship was an indication of shallow character. I know, it was mean-spirited of me, but that’s how I felt at age 8 or whatever.

    We all have different ways of writing cursive. Some people write completely cursive. Some people print everything. Some people mix it. And then of course some people are very neat with their writing and some (myself included) have horrid handwriting. (But then of course, it is said that the messier the handwriting the more intelligent the person is. That is the case so that they get all their ideas out before they lose them.)

    I haven’t used cursive in years, I couldn’t remember it know if I had to.

    Every time you put your autograph to a check you are using cursives. I, for one, prefer cursives to printing. It’s a much quicker method of getting things down on paper with a pen. You do use those, don’t you?

    I know I still do in my work environment.

    I may be an illustrator, but I have dysgraphia. Very hard to write for me so being a letterer is out for me. I was always envious of the girls who had such perfect hand writing. Almost art in itself. I wonder if any of them became calligraphers?

    Your point re signatures is well taken. What are people going to do when they stop teaching cursive writing in our schools?
