If ever there is an iconic comic strip, it is Peanuts. What began in the funny pages in 1950 has developed into an enduring classic. Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

TEN pages of arithmetic? That’s not homework; that’s cruel and unusual punishment!

There Charlie Brown…. Does that not make you feel better…. Doing something that you want to do, and not trying to live up to someone elses expectations….
You’ll pass all of your school work….

Sorry to moan about display again, but I believe there should in fact be one missing panel here? There are seven people in the queue to CB including himself, yet there are only 6 panels until CB. I’m sure this strip originally had all 7 people in. One of the twins in front is missing!
Oh I do wish for authenticity. =(

He’ll get a D after working on it all night and on the bus ride in to school.

notice how cheap the movies were back then and how the kids were using coins to buy their tickets

^I remember paying 10 cents for Saturday morning movies.

You should be doing your homework, Charlie Brown. “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.”
Wow. That’s how much a movie cost then. Stupid inflation.

Today, you’d have to pay for your ticket with a double eagle. :) (3-D glasses not included.)

I can name all the characters in this strip (from the front of the line to the back): 3 and 4 (twins), 5, Schroeder, Lucy Van Pelt, Patty (not Peppermint Patty), Charlie Brown, Linus Van Pelt, Violet Gray, Frieda and Shermy.

@ Charlie Tuba - I’d forgotten about 3, 4 and 5, and didn’t know Violet had a last name. Learn something new every day…
I think homework will go faster after you’ve had the mental break of a show. (I can rationalize most things! ;) )

Poor little Charlie Brown. He finds it so difficult to learn.

That guilty feeling didn’t help him much!

Ah, Shermy… the ‘Forgotten Peanut.’ Doesn’t even show ‘til nearly the last panel.
Hey! Did 3 and 4 get in on the same ticket?!? Those sneaky twins!
