The Literary Ace sits atop his doghouse typing.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks out of the house.<BR><BR> He walks up to the Literary Ace and says,"I'll bet you forgot, didn't you?"<BR><BR> He smiles at the reader and spreads his hands; he exclaims,"Today is mother's day!"<BR><BR> He turns back in the direction of the Literary Ace and continues,"It's a perfect time to write to your mother..."<BR><BR> He walks away saying,"Let her know you haven't forgotten her"<BR><BR> The Literary Ace types,"Dear Mom, I remember when I was born."<BR><BR> He looks at the paper in the typewriter and reads,"It was a dark and stormy night."<BR><BR>
Regarding that last panel; Snoopy was right! The 1991 TV special “Snoopy’s Reunion” begins on a dark and stormy night when he and his siblings are born.
