The baseball hall of fame pannel is a bit difficult to read.

It’s a good idea anyway. Men shouldn’t wear hats indoors.

Customs have changed of course, but when I was growing up it was considered good manners for men and boys to remove their hats/caps when going into houses and buildings. Also definitely when they were eating their meals. If women had on baseball caps the same rules applied. Hats worn for fashion could be kept on unless they were blocking someone’s view.

to add onto jancy also they removed them when they played the anthem. It took a few seconds it is not the hall of fame it is the shrine of fame. So going into a church or shrine you take the hats off to show respect. .

caps are now so common that it is considered acceptable to ware one in all cases except the national anthem and in certain churches, many of the less formal churches will allow a cap… this is because it is often seen as a fashion accessory

I don’t know: My wife and I still find it annoying to see people wearing hats/caps inside buildings; and there are people my age who should know better but who do it.

I am always impressed to see G.I’s remove their caps indoors.
Some class is left in our culture.
