From the NY Times: “President Obama has nominated one of the nation’s best lawyers, Mary Jo White, to be the next chairwoman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. White has a formidable record as a prosecutor from 1993 to 2002, when she was the United States attorney in the Southern District of New York.”

“Southern District of New York” includes Wall Street proper. Since I’m not impressed with the Presidents “too big to fail” approach towards prosecution so far and Rolling Stone is very anti-her, my bet is the repugs will love her… She reminds me a lot of Janet Reno too.
