I wonder if Putin likes much of anything.

I guess Putin didn’t get what he wanted from Obama even tho Obama has “more flexibility”.

Here’s a capital(ist) idea – make bare-chested rootin’ Putin the poster boy for Viagra.

Yeah, that’s the ticket! Putin likes Obama sooo much, he gave Snowdon asylum. And after all the defense pullbacks done by Obama, too. That Putin is a real ingrate…

We were getting along better with President Medvedev.

“Fill full the mouth of Famine
    And bid the sickness cease;
And when your goal is nearest
    The end for others sought,
    Watch sloth and heathen Folly
Bring all your hopes to nought.”
    —R. Kipling

The US offered a hand to a backward, heathen nation, an offer to try to bring them up from the Dark Ages to the 19th century or so (pulling such a backward nation up to the 20th let alone the 21st century would be impossible).

Instead of gratefully accepting, the savage, heathen Putin declined the incredibly generous offer and batted away the outstretched hand.

Typical savage Folly, just as Kipling predicted!

(Of course, there’s also the savage heathen view.)

C’mon. Putin is a fine guy, remember? Someone at a very high level in our government looked into his soul and pronounced him to be okay.
    Remember?

In his first meeting with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, declared afterward, as President Bush did, that he had looked Mr. Putin in the eye, got a sense of his ’’soul’’ and found the former K.G.B. boss a ‘’remarkable leader,’’ an ‘’honest, straightforward man . . . who loves his family’’

Like David Brooks commented tonight, both countries seem to be run by 14 year olds…………

America was weakened by Bush/Cheney/Wolfowitz/Rumsfeld’s insistence on invading Iraq without a plan., while taking focus off Afghanistan/Bin Laden. Obama is seen as weak by the righties because he is trying to bring our foreign policy back in balance. And if Obama is so damned weak, explain why he hasn’t capitulated to Russia’s demand that we totally trash the plans for the European Defense Shield.

This Putin fellow is seriously deranged and i fear for my life, living in Europe. But the really scary thought is: who will be his hand-picked successor and what will THAT guy do? Sometimes i envy people of my age-group who already made it six feet under…
