    In fairness to Bernanke, he probably has done everything he can do for the economy. If you’re looking for the people who really are just sitting on their hands, their on Capitol Hill.

    When the fed makes the banks adjust the pime rate to what they pay for government money they’ll get off their asses. Modifing the existing ARMs to zero interest rates to the consumer will force the do nothing congress to move if they dont the run on these banks will equalize this economy!

    Bernanke can’t get us out of Afghanistan, can he? How much money have we thrown down that useless rathole now? Do you suppose it MIGHT have helped the American economy if we’d spent it here instead of there?

    In fact many people wonder if Bernanke has gone past the strictly legal with all the stops he’s pulled out… With all that it does seem to have provided the floor, as Clinton said, but hasn’t really built the house.
