    read “Mort” by Terry Pratchett. Among other adventures, when Death takes some time off, he gets drunk!

    He gets time off in Reaper Man, too.

    The best and most well balanced member of Terry Pratchett’s cast. He like curry and cats too but not at the same time I hope.

    An evil (but fun) thing to do when someone asks if you would like a free kitten is to reply: "I never know what sauce to use on them:.

    I must remember that. When asked if I like children I occasionally reply that they’re ok in a sandwich.

    I always thought Meet Joe Black was a redo of Death Takes a Holiday? Both good movies but the original is always the best.

    It was, well supposed to be. And you said it, the original is the best! Great gothic atmosphere!

    Of course, the scary character isn’t Death – it’s Death’s granddaughter Susan. (At least, if we ignore Granny Weatherwax…now, she’s scary.)

    @Larry

    I own three different movies on that theme – all made before Meet Joe Black.
