Over the Hedge, created by T Lewis and Michael Fry, takes a freshly skewed look at suburban living from the perspective of the animals who lived there first. The strip stars RJ, a mischievous raccoon, and Verne, his sensitive best-buddy turtle. Together they fight to save their wooded wonderland from the evils of encroaching suburbia but end up becoming distracted by wide-screen TVs, discarded fast food containers and the fun of wreaking havoc on the local homeowners' association.

For those not familiar with the series Adventure Time,
it’s an animated series that runs on Cartoon Network. It’s about boy a named “Finn” and a shape-shifting dog “Jake” who go on adventures set in a post-apocalyptic world (like that of Endtown).

Endtown is another strip here on gocomics. In my opinion it is one of the best story strips ever. It is an acquired taste because story strips seem to move slowly. But the storytelling and artwork are first rate, and well worth a few hours going through one or more of the six or seven story arcs. Each arc could easily be a graphic novel, and Aaron Neathery,
the creative genius behind Endtown, has two books available.
ThreeStepsOverJapan or SurfStuff55, regular contributors to the comments, can give one guidance as to the various stories start dates, as can some others. Fortunately gocomics has a good archive. You may also wish to visit endtown.com, or the creator’s page, aaronneathery.org.
No offense intended Josh, but I did not know if or when you would revisit the comments here.

Invasion Fleet Commander to Home Planet Command: bring your own lives; Earthlings don’t have one. See above.

Unfortunately, Over the Hedge seems to be one of the few Dreamworks movies without a sequel, holiday TV special or arena show.
They did seamlessly recast Eddie Murphy and Jack Black for television, so anything is possible

Jack Black was replaced as Kung Fu Panda for the small screen. A sound alike actor who is marvelous.
