I threw the two foot “present” I got Sunday, over the fence. With our luck the world’s largest zucchini plant will grow in the forest and climb in our windows at night.
I love zucchini,, but nice young tender ones, not those big enough to be lethal weapons!

Grate it, freeze it, makes great bread later, or you can just cook it up in a frying pan later.

Not so tasty if it’s all pithy and seedy though.

I had to Google it to find out what the hell you’re all talking about… To the rest of the world it’s courgette, which we slice and fry, with onions. Not too bad.

Yes reading the comics can give you an education, you don’t know how many times I have had to look something up because of different meanings in different places.

We let a couple grow to huge size one year – then carved them like pumpkins for Halloween! Big hit with all the trick or treaters.

In butter, with lots of garlic an maybe some tomato. This is the ONLY way I will eat zuchinni / courgettes but my wife likes them, grows them and sneaks them into everything she cooks. I spend most of my meals in summer picking out the zuchinni.

Aussies started out referring to these as courgettes due to the influence of French cookery but over time we have largely converted to zuchinni due to the influence of the many Italian immigrants who became greengrocers.

I don’t mind zucchini. I actually like zucchini – but I can’t stand green beans. And yet when my mother once planted them, that was the one crop that had a banner year.

    Good morning, Crew!

My wife, bless her, grows everything. She insists on growing zucchini, though. When even the foraging bears ate every last onion and garlic plant on the plot but didn’t touch the zucchini, she still refuses to acknowledge that zucchini is such a loss that even wild animals know that the caloric effort to eat the stuff is higher than the caloric return from the zucchini itself…

    Good Morning Crew,
Charley, use the Zucchini in your own cannons. Now, you have a weapon of mass distraction…..

It is loooooong overdue for a large book with all the Overboards. A Boatload Of Louie isn’t enough. Sorry we didn’t cut them out and save them.

I have SEVERAL scrapbooks of OB, printed them out and put into a loose leaf binder in document protectors. It’s a lot of time and work, and I have done it with other strips now as well. Of course, I haven’t had time to read them all again, so . . . . .??

    Good morning Crew!

Zucchini is very versatile, and very good, and very nutritious.
