My Kroger sells a variety of tomatoes. The cheapest are Roma tomatoes. 88 cents.

The best ones are out of your garden, not the ones at the store. I love it when people give me veggies out of their garden.

But if you see another variety on sale for less, do you say “Arrivederci, Roma”?

Ruthie is entirely too old to be riding in the cart.

Is Ruthie even old enough to be in school yet?

Grocery stores buy from their chain’s warehouses so even when stuff is in season, it doesn’t matter. If you have a neighbor who grows something you like, it’s good to let them know (all my neighbors have permission to pick oranges in my front yard -too many for me). I eat all the grapefruit in back yard tho (or most). Another neighbor brought me a bag of lemons. Most neighbors are younger than I.

When the grocer’s prices are too high they must throw out a lot of produce.
