I always enjoy Grandpa when he channels his inner Nelson Algren!

Grandpa’s story could easily take place in today’s Chicago.

Sounds slightly more appropriate than the one about two drifters named George and Lenny.

Today’s comic (push blue button) Ruthie gives us another example of her flair.

Some dame and a P.I. in a seedy speakeasy. Then there was Rick and his goon, Mooch. Yeah, the tension was so thick you could cut in with Mooch’s knife that he kept close to his heart. The only thing he kept closer was his .38 Saturday night special and his mudder.

Benjamin Urrutia wrote a great sequel to the George and Lenny Story. You’ll find it in The Peaceable Table.
