I never heard about pennies being dropped by dead people until just this week (and now I suppose I get the origin of the phrase “pennies from heaven,” which I thought just meant “manna from heaven”).
But isn’t it a great lesson in divine forgiveness that not only does heaven admit grumpy old mooches, but softens their hearts?
There’s hope that Ruthie - and all of us - may grasp the idea that there’s potential in everyone to better themself, on earth as it is in heaven.

@Mythreesons found money goes into a small piggy bank. At the end of the year, it goes to charity (usually the local SPCA).
