I lived in Colorado for 30 years. Only aspens changing. Gorgeous but pretty much just yellow. Now I’m retired in Arizona. Brown. Grey. Brown. I head to the Pacific Northwest and act like an idiot when I see seasonal trees (other than aspen:)

Look at those hard folding chairs they are sitting on. Only a suffering monk-like Paul could enjoy an experience like that. Now they are stuck in a traffic jam out in the country, anything to get Paul out of the apartment and away from any potential of intimacy.

Blue Ridge Parkway? Limited access road. I can remember being on it once with family when a really thick fog came up out of what seemed like nowhere. If the first car in the long line had gone off the side of the mountain, we all would have. You couldn’t see anything but the tail lights of the car in front of you.

Back when I lived in Illinois there were plenty of different trees that all changed in the Fall (but that was the ONLY thing I liked about the weather. I will still go back once in a while because I have some children there (others in Ft. Worth and Boulder). As I’ve said, here in Phoenix only my Ficus leaves sometimes turn brown and fall, but I have flowers year round and both grapefruit and oranges, palms and cactus, even a Cyprus. The pyracantha berries will turn a beautiful red too.
