Doesn’t even look they’re wearing coats. Maybe they’re checking first. Like sticking the toe in to ‘test the water,’ I suppose.

We once had a foot of snow over three days. Nice, soft, fluffy snow. It took me an hour on snowshoes to go a half mile.
The dogs let me break trail.

It is fun the walk in the fresh snow. And it’s even more fun to ski on it compared to packed down snow.

About On A Claire Day

The step into adulthood is a scary one. So much is new, unfamiliar, frightening, incomprehensible. Claire has just taken this step. She’s moved from her parents’ to her own apartment, to start life as an "adult". Armed with a good heart and an optimistic spirit, her challenge is she still has so much to learn about life: the nuts and bolts of managing a job, a home, how people interact, relationships, planning for her future, and so much more.

We’ve all been through this. In fact we go through it every day. We all know how tough, but also funny, it can be, as we move through life’s situations if we take our knocks with good humor. And we know also how very rewarding it can be when we actually occasionally get things right.
