We’ve all been through this. In fact we go through it every day. We all know how tough, but also funny, it can be, as we move through life’s situations if we take our knocks with good humor. And we know also how very rewarding it can be when we actually occasionally get things right.

Oh yes-I also miss the ones they had in Germany-every day at the little imbiss right outside of the Mainz Hauptbahnhof I would buy a variant with the consistency of a soft pretzle, slathered with homemade butter and farmer kase-decadent!
But I can’t throw stones at a fresh Krispy Kreme either. Decisions, decisions….

Prosciutto – and yes it is worth it :)

Customs “confiscated” our prosciutto, salami and cheese when we came back from Italy. I’m guessing they had a good lunch that day.

Yeah, no one who works in Customs is skinny.

I was a bit surprised to see that her prosciutto made it through customs. They usually don’t allow meat through.

The dog still remembers them, of course.

Oh, I imagine Lulu remembers what a soft touch they are.

Yup, any time I’ve tried to bring any sort of meat or produce from home back to America, it gets confiscated. Unless she got it in duty free or something

Dogs love ya for free. You have to buy the love of Kitty.

Not necessarily. Depends on the cat. Mine are very loving.

Every kiss begins with Italian prosciutto….which would still be better than blood diamonds. Of course, tropical fish don’t care about either one!

If I brought back any food from a trip (even the orange from the tree that frightened Cuddles when we were in Puerto Rico), I hid it well in my clothes. Nobody takes MY stuff!

Or in the US, it’s just called “ham” and it sells for $2-3 per lb. ;-)
