We’ve all been through this. In fact we go through it every day. We all know how tough, but also funny, it can be, as we move through life’s situations if we take our knocks with good humor. And we know also how very rewarding it can be when we actually occasionally get things right.

When you start a vacation, take an extra suitcase, or pack loosely so you’ll have the leeway to cram stuff it for the trip home.

I bought an extra bag before I came home. At the time anyway, they let me carry it on. Even had four cans of pop in it—wanted the German printed cans as souvenirs.

LOL, coming back from the States, we used a bag less than on the way in….and we did buy some souvenirs. Guess we packed very loosely on the way in… :-D

They have been on vacation since the end of June! Are they that wealthy?

I loved what a friend did on her last trip to Europe. She packed her smaller case into the larger (like they nest for storage) and put a few items around and filled the inner. When she came home she had the souvenirs, extra clothes she bought while there and extra stuff that she split between the cases. She didn’t have to buy an extra mismatched case but planned accordingly.

Better believe it. Her old man’s a new car dealer. In my second life I want to come back as James Bond or a new car dealer.

Said it before, and I’ll say it again – for a couple who used to constantly face financial issues, and having lost her job prior to this trip…. I’d LOVE to be their kind of “broke”

Last time I traveled overseas, I shipped most of my clothes home by post so I could carry the things I had acquired with me.

I’ll definately get more stuff on my next trip, but this time I’ll just leave a lot there (winter boots and a lot of toiletries that can’t go in carry-on etc).

I need to ship back some of the stuff I left from July trip. I’ll have more time to sort things out this time. My good sewing shears are still there and many summer silk chiffon dresses.

Rather have the car dealership though, a license to print money is > than a license to kill.
