    re: BZ

    I hope not. After mixing up characters and settings in LOTR and making it something very different from the books, I didn’t bother to see the Hobbit.

    I remember as a kid we added food colouring to eggs to see if it made a difference, after reading that book. Green scrambled eggs were OK, but blue…definitely not. Mom didn’t even blame us for tossing them, when normally we would have got a 15-min sermon on wasting food.

    As long as neither Jim Carrey nor Mike Myers are involved.

    It won’t be the shortest book, if Sam learns of the ills of food additives; then, finds out the chicken and pig were raised in caged inhumane and unclean conditions, loaded with hormones and antibiotics, plus added nitrites, nitrates and carrageenan filler in the ham. He won’t ever like them then.

    “Green Eggs and Ham” by Upton Sinclair is a much different book.

    Dr. Seuss took a bet over “Green Eggs and Ham”. He said he could write a book using no more than 50 different words with an engaging plot.
    .
    He did it using only 49.

    @grahambhg

    Pink ham = ham. What color is the ham you usually eat?

    I got up and left part way through the Hobbit. All blood and gore. Yuck

    Great artwork. Almost looks as if Dr. Seuss himself had drawn it.
