But don’t go for UPS. They may “consider it done”, but your baby will end up on someone’s back porch in the rain.

    .
Unfortunately, this type of deliberately hurting the public when the Democrats don’t get their way is standard procedure.
    .
When Measure 5 was passed in 1992 to limit runaway taxes in Oregon, despite tax revenues going up (just as in sequestration), Governor Roberts and the legislature made cuts to programs that the public used the most or those that benefited the public most. For example, at OIT, they eliminated the two programs most in demand, med tech, and diesel power, but left the useless programs like basket weaving intact at UofO.
    .
Worst of all, they cut state police from ~1000 to 300.
    .
Like “sequestration” (who came up with that ridiculous title?) the idea is to punish the public for not giving them everything they want.
    .
When tax revenues go up, there’s no point in “cuts”, unless the motive is a morally-evil one.
    .
The state of Oregon essentially told the governor and legislature where to go when the reprehensible punitive garbage started.
    .
Just as much of the public today sees this “punishing the masses” for what it is.
