    everyone keeps calling them ruby slippers… the books i read called them silver slippers… from what i understand when the stage production was done sometime in the 1890s (correct me if i’m wrong) they switched it to ruby slippers because they were easier to see from the stage. this means that the movie was made from the play not the book… i always liked the books better but that is just my opinion
