The ‘wrong religion’ entrance is a slide leading to Hell. At least according to the Taliban, the Christian Taliban, the Ultra-Orthodox Jews…Pretty much all the fundamentalists. Be they Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or anything else.

Sure, they have different holidays, have different food rules, and other things like that, but they all share one belief: Theirs is the Only One True Faith, you must believe the way they want you to believe, and they will force you if they have to. If not, You will go to Hell.

I’ve always thought God has a great sense of humor, but we’re too scared to laugh.

This is, of course, a re-run – originally published on 10/29/09. It remains to this day one of my favorite Wileys of all time.

Hopefully, I’ve worked on Karma enough that next time around I won’t have to participate again in some nationalist liars war.

I’d bet all the ‘religious’ types use the ‘right relgion’ entrance – all the while wondering why all the misguided souls who should be using the ‘wrong religion’ entrance Or better
yet turned away completely and referred to
The Other Place, are using THEIR entrance!

If hinduism believes that there is no evil (greater and lesser good), then how does karma work when it’s predicated upon good and evil?

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

That’s about as intolerant as it gets. Accept Jesus or go to Hell. Muslims, Jews & Hindus are equally certain that Jesus (if he existed) was mistaken.

It’s intellectually lazy to lump different religions into one. They produce different results in this life.
    .
Fundamentalism means when a persons believes something and tries to live it.
    .
A Muslim fundamentalist is going to seek to live as Mohammed did, starting 25 wars and killing unbelievers as the Q’uran orders. He will believe in being 7th Century, because “the only book one needs is the Q’uran” (an extreme example of which was the burning of the Library of Alexandria as well as those in Asia Minor). The Islamic Revolution in Iran is typified by this. Allah meets the description of the Bible’s Satan, and thus his followers act accordingly.
    .
A Christian who takes the Bible seriously is going to be the person everyone in the neighborhood goes to when they are having problems. A Christian fundamentalist builds churches, hospitals, etc. Every large charity group in the U.S. is a church one, with the Lutherans the largest, the Catholics next, etc.
    .
A buddhist is going to live a completely selfish life, looking inward for answers. Or become a warrior in the Tibetan or Tamil traditions.
    .
A true Hindu monist or Buddhist actually believes that if you help the poor, you are preventing them from working off bad karma, thus the fundamentalist in them believes the sick should die and the poor should remain poor, thus they will have a better reincarnation.
    .
A Bahai is not going to do much.
    .
A Wiccan is also going to live a completely selfish life. Wicca deals mainly with satanic power and sex. And so like those I went to college with, they will have their orgies in the woods, drug use, and cursing various people they don’t like.
    .
    etc. etc.
    .
While Christ is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him, and thus only a person who has accepted Christ’s gift of Salvation will go to heaven, in this earthly realm the different religions produce different things.
    .
One commonality is that all religions except Christianity are man reaching up to God. Do this, do this, do this, do this, and you achieve nirvana, get off the Wheel, get 72 virgins, etc.

Christianity is God saying that none of you is good enough for heaven, so He provides a way for you to get here. God’s Son paid the price for you, for the entire world. God reaches down to you, the individual. Anyone can be Saved, no matter what they’ve done.
