Okey, go stand over next to that tree. No, not that one. That’s right, the one with the rope draped over the branch. Slip it over your head. Good fit isn’t it?

Sure we can–since you’re carrying instruments of intent to commit crime, I’ll send you where you can commit them with impunity, Hell. (open trapdoor beneath KKK-tout’s feet, then falleth tout in).\

(note, twisted from Cold-war-era anecdote “how do they punish a Russian who lives in Siberia if he causes lotsa trouble?”)

Take away his shoes? Whoa – thanks for the reality check. It can always get worse! But there is a difference between DWELLING on the past and LEARNING from it, now isn’t there? Wonder if the Voting Rights Act bruhaha or the torture memos bruhaha inspired this cartoon?

Charlie, obviously you don’t know any Southern democrats. And I’ll bet you don’t know that most of the Klan is currently located in the midwest. And yes, Zeta, sadly, KKK members and their ilk believe that segregation is divinely ordained.

Of course, the real joke is that if they would just realize their sin and repent, they could move forward. But as long as they are mired in hatred and prejudice, they got long-lasting problems.

Its amazing and sad just how much hate is spewed by groups like the Klan because the spewer thinks he is doing God’s work. Doesn’t 1 John 4:7-8 say God is Love?

Contrary to what you see in the cartoons, real-life bad guys don’t know they’re bad guys; they THINK they’re the good guys.

Yes, but it is also astounding how many who think they are faithful ignore God, or delude themselves into thinking they are doing what God wants. Christians (and everybody else as well) have such a remarkable dexterity for missing the point!

wndrwrthg,if it weren’t for the G.O.P., the Civil Rights Act never would have pass (sadly Strom Thurmond was an exception)in fact that stalwart dem Al Gore sr. voted against it. As for the Sen. Byrd remark, the standards are different. Any whiff of scandal against a Republician then never mind if they are innocent, they are guilty. While a Democrat can be caught on tape doing something illegal (Marion Barry)and nothing is done.
