    Now, that’s really funny, in a macabre way. There’s no punishment for sports millionaires in the USA, unless they get absolutely outrageous, and not even then if are winning games.

    Look at it from the wife’s point of view. Unless your millionaire NFL hubby is repeatedly beating you to within an inch of your life, there is no incentive to file a complaint. He’s the one bringing home boatloads of bacon and supporting your lavish lifestyle. Coming forward with allegations of domestic abuse that causes suspension for a year doesn’t just cost your husband millions, it costs you millions also, even if it’s in the form of alimony payments. Better to keep quiet and quietly file for divorce.

    ^ Indeed; nothing controversial at all. Only 79 players are currently facing charges of domestic abuse. Hardly even an issue.
