    If you are referring to the movie version of what is now called zombies then yes. No living-dead were created in such productions. However the Voodun or voodoo are real. psychotropics and puffer fish venom used to induce a death like state, then when they awaken they are without free will and have become dulled slaves. Not dead to life. They just look that way.
