Restrain your joy, Captain Odom! Wait until Boody has remembered his whole tale for us all!

That, friend, is a mailbox, which is usually located outside a residence next to the nearest street. The “red ax” is a flag on a pivot, moved to show the presence of mail. (I’m guessing you’ve never set foot outside of a big city, not even to a suburb….)

Hooray for Boody. He has a satellite dish but still subscribes to a print newspaper.

Hey, Justin, it seems GoComics “ate” my rather lengthy compliment on this strip. I clicked “SUBMIT” and my comment faded into the ether.
    Kudos and congratulations.
I love all the “bits of business” you include (especially Boody’s yawn with its puff of flame) and your artistry.
